praying for rain
We arose a bit later this morning and went off to walk. It has been cooler and dryer for a week or so but we need rain. We watched the weather channel, hoping for hurricane Fay to send some rain into this drought area. It is still puzzling as to which way it will go. It is only moving at 9 MPH. We came home, watered the plants and ate a relatively early lunch at 11:30. Evelyn then began mixing a bunt cake for Thursday. I worked on the computer. She was very tired when she finished and went to bed to read. I checked the cake when ready. We have decided to go to Mayberry Days in latter September so I bought tickets on line and found a motel room but not in Mt. Airy. We have to stay 20 miles south. We continued working on the Bible study brunch. We cut and balled cantaloupe and I chopped peppers, pepperoni, and garlic for the quiche she will serve also. I also scheduled a payment of our credit card to get more of a reduction in the price of our January cruise. We watched the Cubs/Reds game mixed with some of the Olympics.
