God is merciful

We walked the lake despite rising later than usual. We weren’t finished until 10:30. It was the first complete night’s sleep Evelyn has had all week. We returned and began the search for the coupons for golf I had lost. We searched the shed, the newspapers, the recycle paper and the car. I had searched each of these at least twice, some 3 times. Evelyn found them in the car in a place I had searched several times. We prayed together thanking God for His mercy. I honestly thought we would never find them. We came in to continue the search for the other one I have misplaced. I searched while Evelyn heated our lunch. Afterward we searched the office but still haven’t found it. We had not cleaned up after walking so we did. I then went to watch the Cubs get pummeled by the Cardinals. She fixed sandwiches, got some sodas, and left with our chairs for the Shindig on the Green in Asheville. We had been unable to find anyone to go with us, so we went alone. It is a really enjoyable picnic atmosphere. For the first time, I noticed people with wine and beer. When the family from GA comes, I hope we can make a trip there with them. People also had their dogs, so they can take Beethoven too. We always leave for home by 9, but it began to sprinkle, forcing us to leave 10 minutes early. We didn’t want to be caught in a hard rain, but little happened on the way home. We were home in time to see some of the Olympic swimming competition.
