pizza party

We were up and off to the hospital, arriving at 8:30. We are to register people for their rooms for surgery recovery and bring some drinks and light refreshments to those after surgery and recovery. Our patients are having outpatient surgery. We aren’t supposed to have cell phones but it is good that I had mine. Darrell called about a car and an endocrinologist called to make an appointment with Evelyn for next Wednesday afternoon. Janice also called and Evelyn returned the call in the evening. We were not very busy and left after we had our lunch. We came home so Evelyn could rest a while and then went back to doctor LaFata’s office to see if he had written the check for the German dinner tickets yet. He hadn’t. I game the receptionist a card and told him to mail it to me. We went to the local health center and got flu shots. Believe it or not, it was set up so we could drive to a nurse and get the shot without getting out of the car! We went from there to the Grocery Outlet for some supplies. We also went by Kathy’s to ask her and Jim to come for pizza. They couldn’t come because they had been invited out by one of her clients. I also learned that she knew of our invitation last night but didn’t bother to tell us they weren’t coming. This was the second time that has happened. We came home and invited 2 older single ladies for the pizza. We had a good time and plenty to eat. We had hoped to go to the local community college for a dance demonstration, but the ladies didn’t stay long enough. We stayed in and watched “Napoleon
Dynamite”, one of the strangest movies we have ever seen. It was funny in spots but weird in most. I spent time trying to scan and send a recipe to Janet Grotrian but can’t get it to send. I don’t know what is wrong. Perhaps I can get some help from someone reading this.
