Visits with Pauline and Brumleves
We packed and left Grotrian’s at 9:30. I took Evelyn to Pauline’s who had lunch prepared for us. I didn’t stay then. I went to the CVS to get more beer for the winter. From there I went to the auto auction and looked for Darrel for 45 minutes. I enjoyed being around the arena where I once worked. I saw many faces I used to work with and for. Finally Darrel and I found each other. We left in his car to go pick up some young guy in Ft. Wayne. I don’t know why but he worked for Darrel. We took him back and just talked a while. We did determine that we would continue looking for a car when we arrived in the Valley. There is a Manheim auction in San Antonio but he will have to do the buying for me since I am not a dealer. I went back to Pauline’s at 12:30 and ate the soup she had made for me. We then left for Teutopolis. It was a nice day for driving and we made good time. We were trying to decide which way to go around Indianapolis until we saw a warning sign that the way the GPS suggested was under construction so we went the other way. Praise God for His watching over us. We made it on to Teutopolis by what turned out to be 4:30 because we had crossed into the central time zone. We had planned to take Don and Deana out for supper, but she had prepared a meal. We ate there and visited. We went to bed at 11 our time but 10 their time. They had a nice queen bed for us.
