Ballroom dancing

We walked the lake and were dressed for the day by 10. We went to town trying to see Dr. Teeter who runs the walk in clinic. He is a dermatologist and a Christian man who gave up his normal practice to offer his services to the poor. We aren’t poor but find it nearly impossible to see the other dermatologists in town. We have appointments in October. Meanwhile, Evelyn has a bump that we would like to have advice about. If Dr. Teeter says we should see the others about it, we will get in earlier than our appointments. Unfortunately, Dr Teeter is not in until Monday morning. We then took our trash to the collection point before going to Big Lots to look for some items. Then on to the Open Door. I gave the devotion based on the scripture, “Pray without ceasing”. We then served, ate our lunch and cleaned up the dining area. We weren’t alone, of course, but do enjoy working with the other volunteers. We won’t work again until July 3. We went to the grocery outlet to see if they had some frozen macaroni and cheese without success. We did learn that Wal Mart had some. We need it for the vacation Bible school that begins next week. The LWML is responsible for providing the supper for the children. We came home and rested before the dance. We arrived there just before 8 and were about the 20th persons there. We took some shrimp dip and enjoyed the dishes brought by the others. We enjoyed dancing until about 10 when my legs began to ache again despite my wearing the support stockings. We enjoyed our visit with Karen and Dallas and even made plans to meet them next Thursday for a picnic before their cha cha dance lesson.
