finishing the Shack series
We walked the lake before going to town for the big Weight Watchers weigh in. We had to be there by 10 and had no problems. We returned some materials to the library and came home. I had a friend cut a notch in the back of the entertainment center so the wall wouldn’t show. In the process of replacing it, the TV set came unplugged. It was a struggle but we finally got it plugged in. We were successful but could not get the remote control to turn the set on. I hope it is just the batteries being weak. I ate gumbo and Evelyn finished some steak from a week ago. We had planned to go to Maggie Valley for a Trout festival but thought it to be hotter than we preferred. We stayed home until leaving for the church service at 6,marking the last sermon on "The Shack" we will be able to attend. Tonight also happened to be the fellowship night and hamburgers were served. I didn’t want to stay but Evelyn did. We met an old friend and sat with her. We came home and I shredded potatoes to fry as hash browns for Tom and Luann Monday morning. We came home and watched “Secondhand Lions”. It was a movie I had recorded and we liked it.
