gorgeous day for golf

We walked after I got up at 8:30. I guess driving wears me out. I wanted to take our recyclable items to the collection point and cash a check in town. What a shock to find all the bins full at the one on the way to the bank. We went to the bank, deposited the rebate check from one of our credit cards and went to the Folkmoot center to get some free tickets for the performance on the 19th. Tom and Janet can go with us. We came home and asked the local Shoney’s for some candy to throw into the crowd at the Independence Day parade. I had to water the plants because we had no rain over the weekend and things looked dry. The hanging tomato plants have grown quite a bit. After lunch I worked for more than an hour paying some of our credit card bills. Evelyn spent a lot of time doing laundry and ironing. While I showered, she rested. We went to the golf course around 5 and Evelyn was good enough to ride around with me. I played well for me and she lasted through 13 holes before going to the car. I am collecting rocks to line our mulch covered flower beds. I found 6 nice ones at the golf course. There are thousands of rocks around that people try to get rid of. We didn’t eat until 9, reminding us of Argentina. Evelyn backed some cookies for our weekend company and went to bed. She had wanted to watch “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” but realized it was too late to start it. What a beautiful, temperate day it was.
