We wakened to a heavy rain, making it impossible to walk. We got ready for church and then made preparations for tomorrow’s omelets. I chopped onions, cooked sausage and cut it into pieces. We drove to Asheville hoping the pastor would have some information about my position. He said he had been waiting for me to call him so I did when we got home in the afternoon and made a tentative appointment for Tuesday at 11. After church we went to Frankie Bones for my free Sunday brunch. We shared a steak and poached egg brunch items. As it was stated, we had to buy another entree so we brought a Ruben sandwich home. On the way home we stopped and bought some macaroni and cheese to prepare for tomorrow evening’s VBS. We also bought some blueberries for only $1.50 per pint. We had gone to the Farmer’s market and looked at some for $5. Evelyn also bought some peaches that the salesman guaranteed were cling free. They weren’t ready and won’t be until early July. We came home and Evelyn began preparing Norwegian fruit soup for tomorrow’s breakfast. We went to the band concert in Maggie Valley and then to a pizza restaurant for supper with our other friends who had met us there. We got gasoline on the way home and went to bed after the news. I received an e-mail from Stacy and a phone call from Emily for Father's Day. I thank God for 2 great Christ loving daughters.
