Back to preaching

We were up and off to Trail's End so I could lead worship. There were 31 in attendance. I had expected around 20. It was good to be back and meet many friends from years prior. Evelyn seemed to like the message and went with me to Llano Grande where I preached to 165 people. That is a smaller crowd than usual because it is still early in the season. There were many compliments from the people there too. I really thank God for blessing the people despite my poor preparation. We had intended to have John and Sue come for lunch, but they couldn't work it into their schedule. So we ate alone. Evelyn prepared a low country boil. Neither of us can understand why she did that because neither of us thinks there is any flavor to it. We added many table condiments. We then wasted the entire afternoon just lying around. I did spend a great deal of time looking for the Bible study materials the office ran off for me. I finally found it but saw that the pages had not been done properly. I also watched the Colts play football. They have a way of coming back from huge deficits and did that again. We went to the hall to sign up for the bike party Tuesday afternoon. We watched some "Monk" programs that were recorded today and some of the movie we started yesterday. Emily called and talked for a while. She first mentioned calling on Skype tomorrow, but Evelyn talked about everything possible this evening. We must get busy on the Bible study tomorrow. Rain is predicted for the next 2 days so we will likely be indoors, giving us plenty of time.
