Purdue uber alles!

We were up waiting for Estella, the park worker who we hire to help us clean the office area of our house. She is a nice Christian woman, and it is nice to have her come to do some of the work that is too hard for Evelyn. She worked with us until about 11. I spent time filing and brushing the cables on the golf cart. After Estella left we went to town to get the sewing machine she had taken to be repaired. The owner is not very personable but did have the machine finished. It was expensive but necessary. We also went to the HEB for groceries for dinner tonight. We had invited the Bruhns, one of the church committee members that helps us with setting up the room for worship and buying the Communion supplies. We had a light lunch and then rested while I watched the Purdue/IU Old Oaken Bucket game. Purdue won in great style but came up 1 victory short of a Bowl bid. Bruhns came at 5:30, and we enjoyed the steak I had grilled and the sweet potatoes, salad and pie Evelyn had made. We played Sequence with them and had one game that we had to stop because we had the board filled but no one could win. We decided to wash the dishes tomorrow because we were tired.
