Dinner with friends.
Saturday is the usual day to sleep in. I could not. I had to arise and go to lead the AARP class at 8. Evelyn had had trouble falling asleep and was able to sleep in. As I led the class of 17, she was dusting the house and cooking our lunch. She also cooked a chicken for tomorrow. We were both tired after lunch and took a nap until time for the Purdue/Iowa basketball game. Purdue won easily. We then went to Joe and Bonny's for dinner. She served pork loin, beet greens, snow peas fresh from her garden and cornbread. Everything was very good including the friendship bread for dessert and the chocolate covered strawberries we had contributed. We tried to watch some of the DVD of their 50th anniversary party held last July. Joe couldn't get the DVD player to work properly, so we saw only part of it. I also introduced Joe to the Baloney Shop on lhm.org. It features a pastor commenting on things said in the media that are critical of Christians. It is really well done and thought provoking for the thinking person with an open mind to the truth. We came home and went to bed a bit early for tomorrow.
