Serving the Lord's dinner to the sick.
We were blessed to be able sleep until after 8:30. I went to the shuffle tournament to see how John Hamel was doing, but he had lost and was gone. I came back home and we had a piece of toast for breakast. We had some brats and 93% ground beef we wanted to cook, and the neighbor woman across the street is not recovering fast from her karata artery cleaning. We invited them for lunch at 2. I worked on the sermon and Evelyn worked on getting things ready for the lunch. I talked with the neighbor, Armand, about playing golf after 3 and we planned that. I cooked the meat and we ate around 2:15. I had asked them to leave after an hour because she is not strong enough to visit longer than that. They had agreed before coming. They left and I loaded my clubs into Armand's car with his, and we went to the par 3 Executive course that we usually play. We played our usual miserable game but enjoyed the lovely, sunny afternoon. We returned home and drank a beer before parting for the evening. Evelyn and I then went for a walk around the park, delivering the trash to the dumpster on the way. We enjoyed being able to walk in the cool of the evening. We ate some popcorn from last night's dance for supper. Evelyn worked on making a dessert for tomorrow's lunch with the friends who couldn't come last Sunday. We must stop this entertaining so Evelyn can relax sometime. Perhaps she can relax during the Super Bowl tomorrow night! Who Dat?
