encouraging news
We both got up early, and I dropped Evelyn off for her walk around the lake. I drove to Clyde to see the auto mechanic we take our car to for a second opinion on our brakes. The first opinion was confirmed—we need new brake pads on the front. I scheduled an appointment for 9:30 tomorrow morning while Evelyn is at Bible study. Then I returned to the lake to get Evelyn. We returned home for breakfast and then went to the doctor for my appointment. He is a DO which means he can do things like a chiropractor but has a medical license as well. He seemed more optimistic about my not needing surgery soon but did recommend an MRI. I also wanted my cholesterol checked and scheduled a blood draw for tomorrow morning. I always have a good time at our visits and thank God for the possibility of my not needing surgery. We returned home and I worked on the computer while Evelyn worked in her favorite place—the kitchen. She made lunch and then we lay down for a nap. I get very tired anymore and can always sleep in the afternoon given the opportunity. I watered the plants and then we went off to the VBS. Sadly, I remembered that we were scheduled to serve at the Open Door, but it was too late when I remembered. We came home and ate a small meal before watching a movie and going to bed.
