Cold Sunday

We snuggled in until 9 in the crisp cold air of the morning. We dressed up more than we usually do. Evelyn looked especially gorgeous, so I thought I should look as well as I could. We sang in the choir and were blessed with Holy Communion. We talked with Phil and he agreed to take JoAnn to lunch with us. I also invited Brent and Susan Ramsey also. We went to the Big Mountain BBQ and enjoyed a light lunch and great conversation. Unfortunately, they asked about our trip to New England, so we had to do most of the talking. We did steer it away as much as possible. We didn’t get home until 3 and began to rest. At least Evelyn did. I spent the afternoon watching some NFL football and doing little jobs that had to be done. I didn’t get my new plaque hung because it is pretty difficult to get the screws in the correct place. It was blustery and would have been a great day for snow had it looked like today in the Midwest. The sky was dark grey and menacing. It didn’t snow. We had the customary popcorn for supper and made a broccoli salad together. We have to plan the week tomorrow.
