Lunch with the bike club

I walked again this morning and left with Evelyn for the Bible study. We rode our bikes thinking we would leave from there to ride to Fat Daddy’s for lunch. I noticed some cherry tomatoes being given away in our park, so we took some back home. We then left to go to lunch with the bike club. It was a bit windy but not too bad to ride in. We went through the neighborhood behind us, east on the business highway, and south on 1015 the restaurant. They were eating by the time we arrived. We shared a sandwich and an order of “Texas Toothpicks”—French fried sticks of onions and jalapenos. They were different from French fries. Marilyn, the leader of the club, and Therese Schwinghammer came over to visit with us but many just ignored us. They had ridden to Progreso Lakes and were seated away from us, so I guess they didn’t have occasion to speak. We rode back the same way causing us to make several left turns in heavy traffic. This is dangerous on bicycles. I went to see if Armand wanted to play golf again, so we went off to play 9. Evelyn and Rose went to Walmart to shop. I had 2 horrendous holes on which I lost 3 balls but parred 3 of the final 4 holes. It is hard to figure this game out. We returned home and finished preparations for our supper guests, the Merryfields. Evelyn had prepared some delicious enchiladas and had a great time visiting with them. After they left, I found Purdue playing Valparaiso on TV. We have scheduled carpet cleaning for tomorrow morning.
