serious illness in the neighborhood

I missed the park meeting this morning. I went to keep an appointment I had made to have the car checked over but found that Wesley will not be back until tomorrow. Evelyn went to the meeting. I came home and got Armand to go to play golf. Drews had come to get their small plastic drawer chest to use in their tiny apartment at Country Sunshine. After visiting a short while, we left for the golf course. I played better on 7 holes but had 15 strokes on the other 2. It was a cool pleasant day and we were home around 2:30. Evelyn had made gumbo for us. After lunch we were both tired and took a nap until 5. We had to clean the kitchen, so I washed the dishes. Evelyn’s arm had been hurting so I wanted to help. We watched the Saints play the Falcons. Drew Brees made a couple of terrible decisions but won anyway. Our neighbor, Judy came to tell us that Tom had become sick through the night and was taken to the hospital. She thought he would have to have surgery but learned later in the evening that he would not. We had ridden our bikes to the hospital and saw him in ICU but he was asleep. We have prayed for both him and her because she will be exhausted if she has to keep going like this for long.
