Delivering gifts for a dad in prison

It is still warm here—high 80s. We didn’t have much scheduled today, so I set up a golf game with Armand and a new friend, Jarl, another Canadian, played with us. We walked again and again were behind a group of 5. These weren’t a slow as those yesterday. I continued my long straight drives but didn’t chip or putt quite as well. I had 4 putts lip the cup. I shot 50 but should have scored 46. The brightest spot was getting over hole 9 without going into the water. We returned home, had a beer and then I had lunch. I also remembered that today was the day gifts and food was to be distributed to a community of poor people. Normally we took things to Mexico but weren’t interested in risking our well being by tempting the drug cartels. The bottom line is that we didn’t go to the giving for the first time in several years. Evelyn’s shoulder and elbow have been hurting tremendously for the past week. It was especially bad today so she went to bed. We left to go to Mercedes to deliver the gifts to the Prison Fellowship kids and practice with the choir for the Christmas Eve worship service. While delivering the presents, two Mercedes police cars came to where we were parked behind 2 men with 2 babies. The police seemed to be questioning the men as if they were not supposed to have the boys. We didn’t stay around to inquire about the situation. We went to the grocery again for items needed for the Christmas Day dinner. We came home for supper and watched Sarah Palin’s Alaska.
