Illness attacks golfer

It was a lovely crisp morning, but I didn’t walk. Instead I began work on the sermon for January 30. I had arranged to play golf with Armand at 11. I got the sermon all finished before we left. We drove to the course and found many people ahead of us. We decided to play any way. I had thought we might take a motor cart but decided to walk. We got to the first hole and both parred it. That is I parred it. Armand got stomach cramps and had to run for the arroyo next to the course. I putted for him, making a par for both of us and then went to see how he was. He had made a mess and wanted me to go on and play while he sat in the car. Of course I didn’t. We both walked back to the club house and were given a “sickcheck” to return to finish the round another day. While I was doing that, he loaded his clubs and vomited. We drove home and he went immediately home. I came in and Evelyn and I ate lunch. Armand’s wife, Rose, was at the hall, so Evelyn went to let her know he was sick at home. We saw him later in the afternoon and he was much improved. We went to the square dance lessons and had a good time. We were home at 5, and I worked on the order of service. Now I have almost everything for the 30th. We finished watching “True Grit” and then some of the BCS championship football game. We have a possible conflict with our weekly Skype visit with Emily. I did get a call from Stacy about the snow in Atlanta. The schools were closed and the kids and mom were playing in the snow.
