New Years Day

We slept late as to be expected since we don’t often get the opportunity. We did work on the dinner we had planned with the neighbors. We cooked the spiral cut ham and the other sides. The guests offered to bring something as well. Rose and Armand brought a dessert, Judy Kruse brought a green bean casserole, and Sharon Lemke and her mother-in-law brought pumpkin bread. Glen couldn’t come because he had to work at the flea market. I was disappointed because we could have eaten at 4 or 5 after he was finished. I just never thought of his working. The AARP certificates had arrived, so I rode my bike around getting them filled out. It took more than half an hour even though everyone was at home. I have to get information from the woman who came from outside the park. I came home and we had a light supper before I began working on the worship service for tomorrow. I was still able to go to bed by 11.
