wonderful dinner
We had to miss the park meeting because we were to attend an AARP meeting in McAllen. Evelyn dropped me at Denny’s for the meeting and went to the Saturn dealership to check on the XM radio and get the car washed. We get free carwashes for as long as we own the car. She also returned some shoes for me at K-Mart. I wanted to exchange those shoes for some others but now don’t have either. Meanwhile I was wasting an hour at the meeting. We have to be trained again because a new edition of the training workbook. The kick in the head is that the training requires two six hour sessions. This is really outrageous for volunteers. I don’t know whether I will do it or not. I did check in the park to see how many were signed up for my class here in January, and it was up to 8. When Evelyn returned we ordered our lunch. I had lemon pepper tilapia and she ordered a spicy buffalo chicken melt but we brought it home. We came home and took a nap because we were to go to Bauknecht’s for dinner. Alice loves to cook and entertain, and she is very good at it. We enjoyed her schnitzel, followed by our traditional game of hand and foot. They love to play cards and we love to play with them. We played 4 hands and then came home. We had to prepare our clean-em-out drink for our preparation day preceding our colonoscopy Wednesday. We mix water with some laxative in a gallon jug that we have to drink tomorrow. We watched Jay Leno’s headlines and went to bed. Tomorrow will not be fun.
