Worship and generous friends
We were blessed in our worship again this morning. We had 47 in attendance and good singing. I prayed for forgiveness for me and healing. We had several requests for prayer for people who are having biopsies. I have to get one next week for a growth on my arm. I don’t think it is anything but want to be sure. I don’t go until next week but I do go to McAllen tomorrow for another AARP meeting. I spend too much time with this stuff. Back today. We had our Bible study and discussed the OT lesson from Deuteronomy. We can’t understand the difference between Mt. Horeb and Mt. Saini. I will have to research this. We returned here and had a salad for lunch. We laced it with chicken breast. The base was left over from Thursday’s meal. We both thought that salad was delicious and have enjoyed it for three meals. We laid around in the afternoon. I always need a little rest after the worship. I usually take Monday off but you already know what will happen tomorrow. I watched most of Rush Hour during the afternoon. It was a good action movie I have always wanted to see. It was followed by Rush Hour II which I had seen part of before. I kept switching to golf too. It was the Buick Open and it appeared Phil Mikelson could win until about hole 14. He fell apart after that and Tiger came on to force a three way playoff without Mikelson. For some reason I like Phil. Well Tiger won again. We were invited for a salad dinner at Joe and Bonny’s so we went there. She had harvested lettuce and other things from her garden. She had been gone for a week and no one had harvested. We came home in time to watch O Brother, Where Art Thou? We always enjoy it. I have been asked in a backhanded way to take Holy Communion to a shut in from Immanuel. Evidently the pastor has not done it for any of the shut ins. There are only three. I will try to do that next week for the shut in, not the church. They didn’t want me to work there.
