serving the Lord and the park
We did our usual morning routine and then tried to work out a plan for the back yard project. Evelyn wants to lay some tile and then have an arbor of some sort built. She has to select the materials and measurements to use. If we are going to lay the tile, I want to make sure we enclose the area squarely so that I can mow the little grass that is left. I think she will make some decisions soon. At least I hope so because the man who will build it for us this summer would like to know before he comes so he can bring some tools if necessary. I also worked on the drain in the bathroom and the cold water faucet in the shower. We then had lunch and rushed off to volunteer at the hospital. We spent our 4.5 hours there and came home to rest before the dance. We had signed up to work some weeks ago. We were assigned the job of collecting money from those entering to dance. We were all disappointed that only 32 people came to dance. This produced $112 of the $150 the band charges. I am sure the park owners are not going to support our dances if no more people are going to attend than did tonight. We will have a better band next week that has a following throughout the Valley. We are also planning to invite two couples here for crawfish etouffee next Saturday. One couple accepted but we need to call the other one tomorrow.
