funb in the mountains

going to shop and then walk before going to the church to work. But when we began shopping, I found a smoker just like the one I have except it has all the grates and the charcoal pan is not burned through. I got it for $20. I thought I had bought two plastic garbage pails too but they had been sold to another lady before I got there. We also found a sewing machine in good shape for Olivia. A couple who live on the lake had a truck and helped me bring the items home while Evelyn walked. We then went to Taco Bell in another attempt to talk with the young man about church. He came in later today but did call us at church to say he and his wife would meet us tomorrow for worship. We had rather hoped to attend a different church tomorrow but will keep our commitment. We may even take them to lunch after church. We worked at the church for a couple of hours cleaning the floors and refrigerator and then came home for lunch. We rested in the afternoon and then looked for someone to go to the Shindig with us but could not find aFriday we went to walk, and I went to Taco Bell to invite Josh, a new worker from Miami, to church. I want us to be there if he and his wife come. He wasn’t there and so we went on. Perhaps I will see him tomorrow. We then went to get the motor home. Evelyn wanted to call to ask Paul and Shirley to go along. They agreed and we hooked up the Saturn and set out for Franklin. We went to the Jones house and met the neighbor who is watching the place for them. We set up the coach and then drove through Franklin to find the courthouse. From there we drove through Dillsboro to Sylva and on to Cullowhee, home of Western North Carolina University. It is a unique place in that the town is about half a dozen stores and the university makes up the other 95% of the town. We bought tickets to a comedy review on July 30, a gift from Shirley for Paul’s birthday. We then returned to Waynesville and went To DuVall’s restaurant for a rainbow trout dinner. It was very good but then we ordered blackberry cobbler that was terrible. It was evidently some that had been frozen from some other day. We should have accepted the cobbler of the day: cherry. We then parted from Paul and Shirley. We came home and I tried to find a movie on the PPV channel but couldn’t learn how to order one or even what channel it was on. We just watched some other programs.
Today we were up in time to go to the Lake Junaluska garage sale. We found a smoker like we have only in much better condition and a sewing machine for Olivia. We went to Taco Bell to invite the young man to church but he came in later, so we left our cell number and went to help clean the church. He called and agreed to meet us tomorrow morning with his wife. We worked cleaning the kitchen refrigerator and window wells and left for home at noon. We had lunch and rested for the night's activities. We tried to find a couple to go to the Shindig on the Green in Asheville but could find no one. We went alone but were about an hour early. We had forgotten the start time. There was a group of cloggers there featuring several obese women. We can’t understand how they can clog regularly and practice regularly and remain so fat. But they do. We left around 9 and drove home. We called the Beelis again to talk with Noah who turned 11 last week but got no answer. We also talked with Bonny Winston again encouraging them to come for a visit. We also decided to visit Roswell in August.
