Finally settling in
Sunday we were up at 7. Evelyn was working on the chicken we would have for dinner. I went out and sprayed Roundup because the breeze was calm. I also tried to pump up some tires, especially the flat one on the golf cart. It is parked in front of the steps and would cause a problem for our guests who were quite old. They were from church, and he is a retired electrician and has helped us before and they were good friends when I worked for Immanuel. I couldn’t get the tire up so we brought them in a different door. We went to church and brought them home for dinner. He found a breaker that needed attention and repaired the outlets. He did make a suggestion about the gasket on the refrigerator door. It is not sealing properly and is allowing moisture to collect. They left around 2 and we all went to a 60th wedding anniversary celebration. The couple were good friends when I worked at Immanuel. We left the reception hall and found that our friends from Winnipeg arrived the same day that we did. We couldn’t talk much because I had to get back to get ready to serve ice cream at the hall. I did that and that was our supper. We came home and watched a movie, “Fever Pitch” and part of “For the Boys”. We liked them both. We plan to go to Mexico for haircuts and pedicures tomorrow after the park meeting.
