This our excellent choir director, Rosalind Kraus, a former professional opera singer, as we rehearse prior to singing in our worship service.

This is the majority of our choir rehearsing.

These pictures have nothing to do with today's blog although we did have choir rehearsal this evening.

Wednesday the temperature at 8:30 was 32. It had no doubt been colder during the night. We got up and had our oatmeal before I took Evelyn to get her nails refilled. I dropped her off and went to the Food Lion next door to get mesquite charcoal (for future meat smoking) and diet Pepsi. I drove on to Clyde to deposit money and talked to a Hispanic family selling strawberries. They were $9 per gallon. I know the price will come down in June but couldn’t buy any regardless because we have some in the refrigerator and will be gone some of this weekend. They will be back next week. I went back to get Evelyn, and we went to Casterline’s cabin to deliver Kahlua and onions. I will try to publish some pictures with the blog. We had intended to eat pizza at Snappy’s restaurant but learned they don’t open until 4 each day. We went back to Waynesville and enjoyed personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut. We had a 2 for 1 coupon in our entertainment book. We came home and Evelyn finished some of the laundry she had started this morning. We don’t run the dryer while we are gone so she had just washed. She dried them and started another load. We folded the tarp covering the gardenias and put it away--I hope for the last time this spring. I wanted to go walk the golf course at Junaluska, but Evelyn didn’t want to go. On this gorgeous crisp day, I had to go alone. Let me talk about my game here. One might ask, “how did you do?” That is a difficult question because evaluation is very difficult. How does one rank bad golf games? As soon as one says, “That was the worst round I ever played.”, he remembers another round that was as bad or worse. The score, however, is a measurable mathematical event. So I can say, “I scored higher than ever before.” But I might have played worse games, garnering a lower score because of a friendly bounce here or there. I came home and relaxed with a beer and we finished the delicious corn chowder before going to choir practice. We came home and watched the Cubs/Brewers game. I published this at the hotel, hoping to be able to publish some pictures.
