more stomach trouble
We slept especially late this morning and rushed to make it to church for the choir warm-up. We sang only adequately as choir. The song, “Just a Closer Walk” was arranged in a difficult manner. Many people said they appreciated it but I didn’t think it was that good. The message was challenging about world missions. We came home directly and heated the cabbage/pork chop mixture for dinner. I love that stuff. I was really happy that Evelyn made a big Dutch oven full. We have at least one more meal to enjoy out of it. I watched some of the Olympics for a while as Evelyn rested. Around 4 she decided she wanted to walk the lake so we did. She walked very slowly and could not make it all the around without sitting a while. Her stomach is still hurting much of the time. I hope I can get her to try for an appointment this week. Perhaps she should have some GI tests. We returned home and she went right to bed. After resting a short time, she got up. I had made some popcorn, but she was afraid to eat any although she loves it. She made a dish of ice cream for us instead. We watched some sports and went to bed. We are planning to go to Mayberry Days in Mt. Airy, NC toward the end of September. We will also go see the Tourists play baseball tomorrow night.
