Ready to go

We worshipped this morning and attended a meeting about the German dinner to be held October 12. We volunteered to be in charge of publicity. Another morning event was that the dedication dinner has, at last, been publicized. We have begun gathering names. We went to Maggie Valley to the Barbecue Shack for lunch. The meal was ok, but we will not likely return. The place didn’t satisfy Evelyn’s sanitary gene and they serve things on disposable plates, etc. We stopped at the Dish Barn and bought some pie plates Evelyn has wanted for some time. We came home and watched the Cubs. I was very tired and slept through about 4 innings but saw enough to know they won. They are 30 games over .500. Amazing. We went to the lake to walk and came home. I had to talk with Emily and Andrew about the writing coach schedule for his schooling. I think I understand what to do. We will talk every couple of weeks. We also talked with John and Whitney Knight and Stacy about the weekend plans. We will go to the Shindig and a baseball game. I have set 3 alarm clocks for 6 AM so we can go to the hospital tomorrow morning. Everything seems to be go. The pastor even said he would try to stop in tomorrow morning after surgery. I hope I can take care of her adequately for the next few days.
