We were up a little after 7 and off to the hospital by 8. I stopped at Taco Bell to ask Kara for ice for Sunday. She agreed I could have some coolers full then. We went to the 6th floor where we serve snacks and drinks to the outpatient surgery people. That is where Evelyn was for her surgery. We stayed until 12:30, went to the cafeteria for lunch of crumby fish and frozen yogurt and then went to the grocery to buy flowers for the Sunday dinner. When we came home, Evelyn was exhausted. I brought most of the things in and shooed her to bed. She slept a while but rested much. We had planned to go to a football game with 12,000 other people tonight but she was still tired. We ate hotdogs for supper and then walked around our loop. On the second loop, our neighbor Jim joined us. Evelyn stopped after 2 rounds, but I continued with him for 2 more. He is trying to lose weight and needs some exercise. I then used our DC air pump to try to pump the tires on the car. I don't think it worked well. We watched some of the Reds massacering the Cubs game and the Ball State beating Navy in football game. During the game the power went off for about an hour. We used some lamps my mother had bought when the entire world was supposed to go dark in Y2K. She had bought them so we would have light, bless her heart. We played dominoes by those lamps and went to bed after the lights came back on. Tomorrow will be a big work day at church--at least in the morning.
