We both slept fairly well through the night. I was up first making coffee, and then Evelyn bolted because she had only an hour to get to the church. She had agreed to transport some ladies to the private home where they would meet this time. She had her potassium, medicine and yogurt and was off. I went to shower and was just finished when she returned the car to me because there weren’t as many ladies wanting rides as anticipated. I was happy because I had planned to change the oil and filter on this date. I drove the car onto the ramps and changed the oil and the filter. I had offered to mop the kitchen floor but watered the plants instead, after eating a hot dog. I had just finished when Evelyn arrived home without eating any of the brunch ladies must always have when gathered together. I heated the last of the vegetable soup Jo Wooten had brought to us, and she went to bed. It was after 1, and she went right to sleep. I wakened her at 3 because I want her to be sleepy enough to sleep tonight. She got up and mopped the floors. We thought about going to play golf but decided 89 was too hot. I will try to get out next week. I miss playing and will not get any better by abstaining. Of course, I will not likely get any better if I play every day. We took some Cheezit crackers and drinks to the Rogers to socialize, but Kathy must have had a late customer because she wasn’t home by 6:25. We left and came home for a tomato sandwich supper. Evelyn cleaned the bathrooms while I watched TV for a while. I am going to start getting us to bed earlier to keep me from eating late at night.
