An exciting on line surgery
Evelyn was up during the night but I slept though. She did sleep a bit longer after I was up and then ate breakfast before we left for the church. I took the trash to dump and then we went to the church to check out how we should arrange the tables for Sunday. We got help from Susan, the church secretary, and then went to the doctor. He was pleasant and spent good time with us. Evelyn described her discomforts and was told that she should give the pains a couple of more weeks. If things don’t improve naturally, the doctor will refer her to a gastroenterologist. Dr. Reitz also recommended Metamucil and Gas-x to combat her indigestion. We left and went to a Blimpy’s Subs for lunch. We thought it was much the same as Subway except that they offered a spinach wrap as well as sub sandwiches. We went to the grocery because it is geezer day, offering a 5% discount on purchases. We then bought some table cloth sheeting for Sunday and came home. Evelyn was tired. She went to bed to rest and I went out and watered our plants and the neighbor’s plants. I also worked on getting some sermons ready for when we will be gone in January and February. We went to choir practice and then came home. We talked with the choir director about going to a play in a nearby town. We will try to work out a date. Dr. Reitz suggested that we go on line to observe the surgery that he had done, so I found a site on the Internet that showed one. Evelyn watched it while I watched some of the Republican convention and the LIBERAL analyists cut the speakers apart. Hooray for PBS! Fair and balanced--NOT!
