early packing

We slept very late this morning. I don’t think I got up once and Evelyn only once. We began organizing our things to pack into the trailer and the car. We have to pack 2 weeks worth of clothes since we will take that long to get to the Valley. We also have some other clothes that we will take and leave in Texas. There are also many other items--records for tax returns, boom box, computer, etc. that we have to pack into the trailer but can’t until next week. We made a great deal of progress, maybe too much because we still have 9 days to go before we leave. I still don’t know exactly which way we are going and won’t until Saturday afternoon when Purdue plays Northwestern. If they win, we go to Indiana; if they lose we don’t. Evelyn is eating better but refused to drink her Ensure. She says she ate enough. She did take her potassium and drank her PowerAde. Evelyn has her ultrasound and Xray tomorrow morning around 8:30. She has to fast but we will go to some friend’s house for lunch. I put some of the mums out on the slope to the south of our house to be planted tomorrow afternoon. We bought them after the German dinner.
