new neighbors

We were up and off to the exercise room to see about hooking up the DVD/VCR combination for use by the women who exercise. It didn’t work and no one we asked could make it work. We both spoke at the park meeting: Evelyn about exercise class and I about ringing the bell for the Salvation Army, the Bible class we will lead in December, and the AARP class in December. We came home and I took my old clothes and drove to George’s to change the oil in our car. I was back home by 12:30 and we had tortilla soup for lunch. When it is cool here, Evelyn likes to serve soup. We talked to the new neighbors from Canada and invited them for dessert after supper tonight. I spent the afternoon working on the sermon for next Sunday while Evelyn ironed all the valance curtains that hang in the Texas room. We then worked together hanging the curtains. We talked with the Beeli girls late in the evening before we went to bed.
