Energy plus

I was sore this morning and became more sore during the day. I have used some long neglected muscles while planting those crotons. We were up early and off to the hospital to have blood drawn to check cholesterol levels. We returned home for breakfast. Afterward we took the dirt that I removed from the plant holes piled on the tarp to the back yard. I then had to work on the sermon. Praise God! He gave me a message and the words to communicate it. We rested a bit and then I cut the grass. We dressed and went to the hall for the volunteer recognition party which turned out to be a very formal, catered chicken cordon bleu dinner. Unfortunately no one knew what was planned and we had planned to eat out with John and Sue before going to the concert series. The park manager permitted us to make carryout boxes to take home. We picked up our friends and drove to the Texas Roadhouse in McAllen where we shared a pulled pork dinner, blasting our WW day out of the water. It was twofer day so we packed one up and brought it home. We went to the concert, “American Jukebox”. It was one of the most fantastic shows we have seen in the Valley. The cast sang 67 different songs and danced with such energy that I was exhausted at the intermission. Even members of the band sang and danced. I rarely give performers a standing ovation but couldn’t help myself. Evelyn has slept through the night the past 2 nights. We pray for another one.
