Gathering door prizes
Monday is park meeting day, and I was scheduled to talk about the Mexican Fiesta dance this coming Friday. I threw a Mexican blanket over my shoulder, put on a huge sombrero and carried a woven tequila container to the podium. I tried to be funny and attract some to the dance. Our park has poor dance attendance and would not have any dances if the band didn’t bring a great following. Several said I did a good job. We came home for breakfast and then went off soliciting prizes to give away at the dance. We got a few and then returned home for a late lunch. I worked on the sermon for Sunday while Evelyn worked on getting things ready for the party tomorrow afternoon. I got drowsy and rode my bicycle to the optometrist to see if I could get a temple for my glasses. They didn’t have one that would fit. I was glad I did because it revived me. I returned home after trying to straighten out the situation about Evelyn’s appointment with the endocrinologist tomorrow morning but couldn’t. We talked with the master gardener who lives in the park about how to plant our new croton plants. We will work on them next week. We had hamburgers for supper and they were delicious is almost anything while on a diet. We laid around in the evening while I was trying to catch up on the cruise blogs. I am doing better than I expected.
