flea markets and hot water

We had the alarm set for 7 but, for some reason, couldn’t struggle out of bed. We finally dressed and went to the flea market at Lake Junaluska around 8:45. Of course most of the items had been picked over by then, but we didn’t want much anyway. We did buy a set of sheets and pillow cases only to see that the sheets had many imperfections after we got home. We then went to the monthly flea market at the fairgrounds and found a sifter for flour, etc. We neglected to look for a metal pancake turner but will find one somewhere else. I had begun to feel bad at the first flea market but got better at the second. When we got home around 10:30, we cleaned up the dishes from last night. I have been going around the neighborhood asking for someone to usher with us tonight but have found no one. We will probably work alone. We showered and just laid around most of the afternoon because I was not feeling all that good. Evelyn had a load of laundry going and ironed a few items when we wakened. She had wakened before I did and had talked with Stacy for a while. Before supper, I looked under the house and decided that I could crawl under and adjust the heat setting on the water heater. We had wanted to make the water hotter from the time we arrived in April, but I thought the crawl space was lower than it was. I did have to crawl some, but the moisture barrier made it much more pleasant than crawling on dirt. It was amazing how quickly the water became hotter. Evelyn has worried about the germ’s not being killed in the rinsing of the dishes. We dressed for the play and left a bit earlier than necessary. We were indeed the only 2 ushering and there were a couple of snafus. We relied on some of the people to know where they were to sit and a few of them went to the wrong seats. We watched the entire play but were both a bit disturbed by some of the innuendos. We came directly home.
