Good play, Good friends
No walking today. Evelyn had slept well but wanted to lounge in bed for awhile. I had wakened around 5:30 for some reason and only slept fitfully the rest of the night. I was up at 7:30 and out watering which proved unnecessary since we got about half an inch of rain in the afternoon. We received a call from Karen saying she had reservations for us at the Flatrock Playhouse. I called the hospital and told them we couldn’t be there in the afternoon. We dressed and went off to Asheville to Lenscrafters. I ordered some new lenses and frames. The charge was $299.95, about $50 less than a few weeks ago. We then went to the Farmers Market and bought a basket of peaches for $14. This is much higher than last year but perhaps cost more because it is early in the season. The peaches certainly weren’t ripe. We drove to the airport Holiday Inn and picked up Dallas and Karen and left for the theater. The play was good and funny although risqué, but we noticed at least 3 line flubs by the normally flawless cast. One man has been performing there for 26 years, but even he made a mistake. We left there in a sprinkle and went to Moe’s Southwestern Grill for dinner. We had coupons so we brought 1 of the meals home. We stopped at the grocery for some items needed for tomorrow’s lunch and came home. We had a good Spiritual visit and discussion after our dinner. We really enjoy being with our guests. There was an unordered box of Gevalia coffee awaiting us as we got home. I will tell them to stop automatically sending the coffee. I certainly didn’t need the coffee here. I will take it back to Texas with us. A local couple called inquiring about dental work in Mexico, and I gave them Dr. Veronica Munoz’ phone number.
