transplants

I forgot to mention that we walked after dinner--around 7:30. We walked this morning--around 7:30. Evelyn had slept through the night and was fired up. After breakfast of cereal, Evelyn began ironing. I watered the plants and maneuvered the garbage can of mulch to the back yard mulch garden. I came in and sent an e-mail to Norris’ to see if they received the phone message. They had. I then showered and put the ironing board away. Evelyn rested while I looked for some hotels on the computer. We then ate our soup for lunch and went to town after cleaning up the kitchen. Evelyn wanted some fresh fruit for her fruit soup and other items. We went to Lowes on the way home to get a couple of petunia plants for a hanging basket. We then went to invite a woman from Our Savior to dinner Friday night. She will bring a friend but didn’t know who. We came home and rested until supper time. I made delicious hamburgers on the 4th so we had them again. We then planted the petunias and transplanted 4 of the tomato plants from the hanging basket. We really wonder if the soil is deep enough to allow the plants to grow. Even if it is, we know the tomatoes will need to be supported or the plants will break. We left some in the plant to experiment both ways. I then settled in to watch the Cubs/Braves game while Evelyn baked a chocolate mousse brownie dessert for the lunch she has Thursday with the LWML. Karen called about going to the play. She will call the theater tomorrow morning to see if tickets are available. If so, we will go with them and have a late lunch afterward. We will have to try to find replacements at the hospital. If she can’t, we will go serve at the hospital.
