Inspiring worship
We disputed as to where we would worship today, so the Lord led us to the nearby Methodist Church. They had a bus load of singers from the Baddour Center for people with intellectual disabilities in Senatobia, MS. They did a praise worship of a dozen Christian songs. The concert was uplifting but also sad. We could only think of how hard they must have had to work at memorizing all those lyrics and how lazy many people are who have no such disabilities. We came home, changed clothes and took our walk before eating hot dog sandwiches. I then watched some of the Cubs first game of the day while drying dishes and peeling and slicing peaches. Evelyn then rested while I did some computer work. We received a peach pie recipe from Karen so Evelyn made a pie after she rested. The Cubs played a game in the afternoon and we watched most of it. Then we began cleaning for our visitors and Evelyn worked on making a peach pie following a recipe from Karen. It was a no bake pie. I washed the dishes while Evelyn put Miracle Grow on some of the plants. She also watered others even though most gardeners say not to water in the late afternoon. We ate peanuts while watching the night Cubs game. We also enjoyed the pie and she took some to Doris. I made a plan with Phil to play golf on Tuesday between 8:30 and 9, after my blood draw. I am still trying to line up a replacement for us on Wednesday afternoon. We don’t want to work at the hospital while the Grotrians are here.
