Monday

I was up and off to meet Pastor and Bill for breakfast. We had a good visit and left in the rain. We still need more. Bill brought me home and Evelyn joined us for more conversation. Bill left and I continued working on the well. I added the horseshoes and the piece to hang the bucket from. It looks pretty good but still needs Evelyn to paint some symbol on the bucket. I was tired so we took a nap. Evelyn’s was shorter, so she went to the kitchen and began finishing the preparations for Paul and Shirley’s dinner. She served smoked country style ribs and other side dishes. When they arrived, we went to the deck for some peach drink and salsa. We had dinner and then played “Phase 10” until 10. We went to bed after we cleaned up the dishes—she had used the good China. We were up until after the 11 o’clock news.
