Serving at Knapp Hospital
Friday was a cold day. We were up at 7 because we had agreed to substitute for a couple that volunteer at the hospital. Evelyn worked in the outpatient area and I at the information desk. It was really a slow day for both of us and we stopped at 12:30. Next week we will be on our regular schedule of 12:30 to 5. I had to stop at the doctor to have him call in a prescription for my medicine. We came home and ate the delicious gumbo that Evelyn had made yesterday. She is a marvelous cook no matter what the ethnic background. We were both tired and napped for about 2 hours. We then got up and went to the Weslaco Christmas parade. It was pretty cold and we stayed for only about half of it. We came home and had popcorn for our dinner. We also watched White Christmas starring Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. It was one I should have recorded on our DVR but didn’t. We also began our Christmas card project. We will send some e-cards and some regular cards as we did last year.
