Sunday, November 26
Sunday was a day of worship. The choir sang Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus and Go Now in Peace. Afterward Joe and Bonny took us out to the Wild Olive restaurant. We met the chef/owner and his wife last Christmas at a party with Joe and Bonny. We had received a letter announcing his grand opening while we were in NC. We had a great time catching up with the Winston’s. They started to come to NC but got only as far as Austin. They have a lot of family there. We came home about 2:30 and watched some football. (Oh, yes. When I was ready for church, I tuned to the computer and learned that Purdue had taken the lead in the game last night but still lost. At least they gave the number 25 ranked Hawaiian team a fight.) We brought out all of our Christmas decorations but did not work with them. We took a bike ride and went to the hall for ice cream. Evelyn rode over to see if Genny Durkin wanted to go to the CWC luncheon next week but found no one at home. We ate our ice cream and came home for popcorn and some more TV. This is the last Sunday I will have off for about four months, but I thank God for the opportunity to bring His message of love and forgiveness to the park.
