Another miracle.
Saturday took us to the flea market to see if we could find anything to buy. We couldn’t. We did see our former pastor, John Greene. I talked with him about the rejection I received from our church concerning my status as a lay minister. We may begin attending a different church that will sponsor me. We may have to go to church in Asheville. We went to the church to work with the cleaning crew. We used orange pledge to brighten the wood on the pews. We left when we finished before lunch. We had many containers with leftovers that we needed to eat. We rested in the afternoon because we had tickets to a bluegrass barbecue dinner near the Hart Theater where we ushered for a play. Evelyn didn’t like the play, but I thought it was ok. It is hard to play several parts alone. We both enjoyed the barbecue and bluegrass, however. The band was Balsam Range. We had a good time with Charles and Ella who got the tickets for us. While we were eating, Evelyn noticed that the set from her ring bought on the cruise was missing. We were all looking for it. I looked one more time and our gracious Lord revealed it to me on the floor under my seat. Thank you, Jesus. Two retired pastors from our church came to the play and invited me to be the fourth in their golf game Wednesday. We received a call from Bookouts who are supposed to visit next week. They aren’t going to get here until next weekend. This creates a problem in that Musselmans may come too. We will have to call them and try to work things out.
