A welcome week's end

Friday was the end of the work week. I was very glad. It was possibly the last full week I will work this season. We have several visitors scheduled and one short trip plus two football weekends before we return to Texas. Things went well for me, making five consecutive days that I did not have to drag the hose around because it was not outside. I came home and we had lunch here. We showered and then took a nap. It is too hot to do anything outside. I would have liked to play golf but not in this heat. After supper we (mostly I) washed the windows inside and out. After two years of removing screens, we remembered that we could just tip the windows, allowing us to wash the outside from the inside. They are not all that easy but the bottom ones are. Evelyn made a liner for a bread basket we bought at a flea market and we went to bed late. I watched some of the Cubs game on the gameday feature on the computer.
