A day of just fun

Friday was sad in that Tom and Janet had to leave. We said we had much more to show them requiring that they return next year. They left shortly after 9, and we quickly got ready and left for the Iron Tree golf course. I have begun to play the gold tees (over 65) but racked up a 9 on the first hole. I then double bogeyed the next par three and got a 7 on the next par 4. I thought things were going in the usual disastrous way. Then I scored 5,4,5,5,5 totaling 51, a good score for me. We made the turn and I scored 4,5,5,4,6,3,4,6,4 totaling 42 (phenomenal!) on the back 9. This made an 18 hole score of 93! I have never shot that low in my life. I don’t know what went right. We came home after 2 and had leftovers for lunch. We were tired and took the opportunity to take a nap while the Cubs played the Cardinals on TV. We had eaten late so we weren’t hungry for supper. We dressed and went to the ballroom dance at the armory. There is a dance the third Friday of each month. We stayed only until 10 and then came home to rest up for tomorrow’s busy day.
