Errands
Tuesday was the first flea market of the season. I took a suitcase, some spark plug wires, a bag full of women’s golf clubs and a DVD player that didn’t work. I sold only the latter. Evelyn has taken charge of the morning exercise room and played an exercise video. She was the only one present but must always go because she has the key. When we came home, Evelyn began working on making a chicken salad from the leftovers from Sunday. I went to the hall to make some calls, one to AARP to get materials for a class I will teach in January. I also made arrangements to teach one in our park in February. I left and went to have the car washed. We had not washed it for several months because of the drought in NC and many bugs were plastered on the front. I wanted someone else to scrub them off. I also tried to mail a package to the Beeli children. I had to send it USPS which was the cheapest way. I came home for the delicious lunch, and then we went to renew our license plate. I forgot the checkbook and will have to do it later. I went to the bank and was blessed to get rolls of Washington and Wyoming state quarters. I had looked all summer for WA and thought I would never find any. We came home and I worked on organizing our storage while Evelyn did some ironing until 4:30 when we went for a bike ride around our park and the one next door with the bike club. I barbecued hamburgers for dinner. Then I picked the rest of the chicken off the neck, back and wings to use in some soup. We have a friend who has no appetite and might eat some. We then rode in our golf cart trying to visit some friends who are leaving for 10 days tomorrow. We couldn’t find them but did find a spot at a table for the Thanksgiving Day dinner. We came home and picked some pecans out of the shells. I have been trying to see when Llano Grande Park might want me to preach. I don’t want to be scheduled and miss the service. I still don’t know anything. I did forget one important thing yesterday: I found the camera we have searched for since leaving Waynesville. I have had the neighbor searching our house for it. I will have to call her this weekend and tell her.
