Friday was cool again. We did our respective exercises, and I spent a little time at the coffee table. Many of the men gather there each morning and share reminiscences and exaggerations. I always joke that I come only to learn from those more experienced. I came home and we showered then Evelyn had to take a nap. The exercise class often makes her tired. This is a surprise to both of us because she is in good shape, having exercised. (What did he say?) We ate some soup for lunch and then went to the hospital wearing our new red shirts we received yesterday. One of the regular guys I work with stayed home and worked on replacing the floor in his unit. We had fun but less than usual. I joked with the CEO of the hospital about giving dance lessons. He was pretty jivey at yesterday’s party but said his wife might teach but he wouldn’t. He seems like a very good guy to work for. Evelyn worked the outpatient admitting desk as she did last year. We received another small gift from the hospital: a small purse with first aid supplies in it. Evelyn decided she wanted to go to Long John Silver for supper and then come home. We watched a Daniel Steele novel made into a movie and then walked around the park while recording another. Unfortunately, the recording came to an end, and I was able to publish this blog.
