Big beer and barbecue
Friday we went to work out as usual. I started to walk around the park but saw Jack Roberts and we began to talk about a small trailer to tow with our Saturn. We would be able to load much of our items we need to take back to NC in it, making the car more comfortable. I think we will look for a Coleman style trailer that has a cover. I came home and got ready for the day. Evelyn began ironing but stopped to go to the doctor to discuss her potassium level. She had another blood draw after spending two hours there. She learned that her potassium was back to normal. While she was gone, John Hamel came and hooked up our VCR to the DVD so we could record one on the other. We tested it by recording the home movies we had changed from Super 8 films to VHS tapes. Now we have DVDs of the family events from Emily’s first steps. We still have 3 more to transfer, but at least one of them is done. We certainly had a great deal of fun on our travels when the kids were young. We went to the hospital as usual and came home to rest a bit before going to the free beer and barbecue party for the volunteers at the Rio Grande Valley Stock Show. This will be our third year as volunteers. The party was just like always and the barbecue was delicious. Afterward we went to a dance and the band played one song and took a half hour break. We danced to the canned music and then left just as they came back. We had to leave because I have to get up in the morning to play golf.
