First day at the hospital
It was COLD this morning--by south Texas standards. It was 45 and never got over 59. Evelyn exercised and I went for a walk. We both dressed for the weather. I talked with the parks district manager and asked that he hook up the DVD as he had promised last year and he agreed to do it. One of the ladies in the class has offered to help if someone would move the tables and chairs in the way. I had made an appointment with the nurse researching our vaccinations, so we ate a light lunch early. We gave the lady custodian here a clothes bag and went to the nurse only to find she was gone to lunch. We went on to our first Friday at the hospital. Evelyn worked in outpatient registration again while I worked at the information desk. We had the same crew as last year except for Paul who was sick. Evelyn developed a headache around 4 so we left an hour early. She took some Tylenol but wouldn’t go to bed. Instead she worked on preparing beef stroganoff for our expected guests, the Johnsons. I went to get some ice cream for dessert and returned to find her finishing up and going to bed to lie down. We had a nice visit and a delicious supper. It was the best beef stroganoff she had ever made. They left around 8:30 and we did the dishes. We also distributed our medicine for the next week and then Evelyn went to bed. I followed after the news. The high for tomorrow is predicted to be low 60s.
