The first golf and bike ride
We were up early because Evelyn was itching too much to sleep well. She had decided that the bites she gets are coming during the night. Therefore, she decided to go with the plan I had 2 days ago: set off an insect bomb in the bedroom. We stripped the bed, brought in a small table, and tripped the bomb. We then left for the morning. She to exercise and I to walk a bit. I found Jack Rogers and planned to play golf at the par 3 course nearby. We had to wait until 11 so I began to clean and organize the shed. Evelyn worked on cleaning the golf carts. Jack picked me up and we both played better than we have before--together. Evelyn had lunch made when I returned at 12:30. We ate and then continued working until 3:30 when we joined the bike club for a “poker run”. We ride around the park and return to home base 7 times, drawing a card each time. The cards put together a poker hand as in any card game. There are prizes for the five best hands. Afterward we enjoyed a supper of carry in snacks. I then went to the hall to use the phone to see it the Winstons were home yet (they weren’t) and to make an appointment with Direct TV. I am having trouble with the remote and local channels. We have business in the morning but plan to go dancing at a local tavern in the afternoon. We have to go alone because we have to give instructions to the Hispanic man who will wash the outside of our unit.
