Last of the stock show
Saturday is the day to sleep in and we did. We didn’t get up until after 9. We cleaned up and readied ourselves to go to work the stock show. We heated some leftover soup before going to hand out programs. Interestingly enough we had several questions we couldn’t answer. The location of the first aid station should have been on the map but wasn’t. We didn’t know about a lost and found area or the ATM machines either. We did find them but after we left work. I wanted to see the new booth that handed out Christian materials. I worked in it several years ago but a new group was now in charge. It was not nearly as large. We returned to see a few of the winning animals auctioned off to large corporate buyers. I was surprised to see that many of them had been decorated in various ways. I was sorry I had not brought the camera. We returned home in time to see small snipets of the Purdue/Washington NCAA tournament basketball game. Purdue won by 2 points but will have to play one of the tournament favorites next Saturday. We ate some tamales from Christmas for supper and then took a walk. We visited with Bob and Theresa, telling him that I wouldn’t play golf next Wednesday because we have to go get our guests from NC that day. I came home and went over the service again.
